My name is Ken Howard and I am the Church Warden. 

I was brought up in the Sunday School and Church. I have been Warden of the congregation for over 20 years. 

I am also the former president of The East Cheshire Union of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches and The North Cheshire Unitarian Sunday School Union.

In 1968 I was National President of The Unitarian Young People's League, but was unable to take up the Presidency when I went to work in Africa. I am also the previous secretary of The Unitarian Christian Association.

I am married to Sue with two children and five grandchildren.

  My name is Wendy Maher and I am the Church Secretary.

Previously, I worked as a social worker, but I have since retired.

 I organise the weekly "Craft, Chat and Chill" sessions. 

I am the Approved Person with the Tameside Registrar. I oversee and ensure legal commitments are met during marriages. I am always ready to help in any way that I can.

My name is Sue Howard and I look after the Church's money - i.e. I am the Treasurer!  

I have been doing this job for eight years now, and I am instructed by the other officers and committee.  This involves many different aspects including keeping records of all income and expenditure, keeping an eye on our investments and keeping records of all offertory donations in order that I can claim gift aid back on your contributions. 

It is a very interesting job and I have come to realise what a generous group of people our congregation is.  No sooner than we have asked for donations, either monetary or in kind as raffle prizes etc, then we receive so many donations from everyone from our oldest pensioners to our youngest families.  It really is quite heart warming  and I am happy to attend every week together with Ken, my husband, our daughter and our grandsons.

 My name is Jennifer Price and I am the Sunday School leader supported by other mums.

I came to this Sunday School as a child for a short period before moving away and I was married in the church 15 years ago. I am a mum of 2 teenage boys, Alfie and Benjamin. I work as a Sales Director full time for a well known brand. 

We have lots of fun in a very light-hearted environment in our Sunday school and on several annual outings. You and your children would be made most welcome should you come along.
